Me entristece compartir que Madame Birthe Lejeune, la esposa del difunto Dr. Jerome Lejeune, ha fallecido. Junto con su esposo, ella defendi\u00f3 la dignidad inherente y el valor infinito de los individuos con s\u00edndrome de Down, con especial atenci\u00f3n a los no nacidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional de la Familia (OIF) est\u00e1 profundamente agradecida por la inmensa contribuci\u00f3n de la Sra. Lejeune y la Fundaci\u00f3n Jerome Lejeune a la cultura de la vida. De hecho, en 2017 en el Congreso Mundial de las Familias XI<\/a> en Budapest presentamos el Premio Familia Naturalis<\/em> a la Fundaci\u00f3n Jerome Lejeune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A t\u00edtulo personal, conoc\u00ed a Madame Lejeune en Washington, D.C. en octubre de 2017. Ella fue tan elocuente y positiva como siempre en su dedicaci\u00f3n a la vida. El pasado febrero, me un\u00ed a Tim Tebow en el primer evento del baile de graduaci\u00f3n \u00abNight to Shine<\/em>\u00bb en Par\u00eds. A pesar de que la se\u00f1ora Lejeune no estaba bien, reuni\u00f3 todas sus fuerzas para estar all\u00ed, pero a \u00faltima hora de la noche se desplom\u00f3 justo delante de m\u00ed.
