While Facebook works overtime to deplatform people whose views they disagree with, they are busy providing a worldwide platform for a disgusting and debauched docuseries hosted by former TV star Courtney Cox airing on their social media platform about a transgender couple that has a baby and wants to challenge every norm imaginable. The couple consists of a man who \u201cidentifies\u201d as a woman, and a woman who \u201cidentifies\u201d as a man. The pregnancy came as a surprise because both people were undertaking hormone therapies to help facilitate their \u201ctransition\u201d to the opposite gender. A major focus of Facebook\u2019s presentation of the pregnancy coverage was widespread claims from the couple concerning \u201cdiscrimination\u201d they were facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example, they claim discrimination when the doctor\u2019s office assumed the person with a beard was a man and the person presenting in a dress and makeup was a woman. This was an outrage, according to the couple, and so, so hurtful. \u201cThey didn\u2019t even speak to me,\u201d said the biological mother, who has a beard. \u201cI just felt like they made assumptions, making an assumption from the very beginning without asking\u2026the thing about us,\u201d said the biological father who presents as a woman. Think of the irony of this: the couple is in the midst of taking powerful medications and are on a path that often includes mutilating surgeries for the express purpose of taking on the appearance of the gender they claim represents them. And yet, when someone actually comes to think that their gender is what they claim it is, they have been discriminated against. Their solution to this was to opt for a home birth, in order to avoid further \u201cdiscrimination\u201d and \u201ctrauma.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Courtney Cox spends a lot of time in the Facebook docuseries covering the transgender couple\u2019s struggles with their families. This, too, we are told, represents discrimination. Lots of emotional energy was expended discussing \u201cclaiming my truth\u201d about their determination to raise a \u201cnon-binary\u201d child. They did this because \u201cassigning\u201d a gender to a child, they claim, is \u201cviolent\u201d and causes \u201ca lot of unnecessary trauma.\u201d Instead, they will, \u201clet our baby tell us who they are.\u201d Consistent with this view, they claim discrimination when some family members have difficulty understanding why they should refer to the child using the pronoun \u201cthey.\u201d The couple told Courtney Cox, \u201cTheir minds are filled with Christian supremacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n But it\u2019s not just their families who had difficulty understanding their approach to parenting the newborn baby. Their own government outrageously discriminated against them, the couple claims, when the DC Department of Vital Records informed them that they could not register their baby as \u201cnon binary.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n As the Facebook docuseries on the transgender couple advances, it gets more and more bizarre. After the baby is born, the couple claim great disappointment and bewilderment when the biological male who presents as a female unsuccessfully attempts to breastfeed the baby. \u201cThe baby has been able to latch but I\u2019ve been unable to produce my milk,\u201d he says after previously undergoing \u201ctreatments\u201d to induce lactation even though he is male. Then the man informs viewers, \u201cI\u2019m this baby\u2019s mother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is depraved on so many levels. Obviously, this couple is deeply troubled whose emotional difficulties with accepting their true gender (a medical condition known as gender dysphoria) and their desire to drag an innocent child along for the ride is tragic and disturbing. Their sad and dysfunctional experience is made worse by Facebook\u2019s determination to present it as normal. Ordinarily, this would just be the latest example from big tech and Hollywood celebrities pushing immorality and insanity on the culture. But this is not an ordinary situation. You see, legislation pending in the US Congress \u2013 the grossly misnamed Equality Act \u2013 would ensure that this gravely troubled couple and others in the LGBT community who struggle with their sexuality will have federal law on their side and will be able to take legal action against those who offend their sensibilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Under the Equality Act, refusing to use a preferred pronoun, acting to further a \u201csex stereotype,\u201d and rejecting the notion of non-binary \u201cgender identity\u201d would all constitute sex discrimination. The law also prohibits \u201cdiscrimination\u201d against pregnancy and a related medical condition, which very likely will require physicians to pursue experimental medical treatments so that somehow the biological male who claims to be a child\u2019s mother can lactate and feed the baby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s no escape from the Equality Act. Everyone is covered \u2013 every individual, pastor, priest, church, religious charity, business, nonprofit group\u2026everyone. The law specifically exempts itself from any application of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the very federal statute that protects Americans\u2019 religious liberty rights. This must be done to prevent what the couple tells us is \u201cChristian supremacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is extremely aggravating that big tech elites like Facebook have been granted immunity against claims by people whom they have censored or deplatformed. That\u2019s bad enough, but it sickens me that they use their social media platform to promote depravity that tears down and destroys all societal norms when it comes to children and families. The only thing worse would be to give LGBT extremists like those featured in the Facebook docuseries the ability to win discrimination claims against those of us who refuse to abide by their sad, sick and deeply troubling agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
