This exchange shows as much:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"James Lankford asks Xavier Becerra why &#039;mothers&#039; was changed to &#039;birthing people&#039; in Biden&#039;s budget\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/N18oBWG-iSE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><figcaption>Becerra: the grin of a Cheshire cat<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lankford took the Secretary for Health and Human Services to task for using the term &#8220;birthing people&#8221; instead of &#8220;mother&#8221; in the Biden administration&#8217;s $6 trillion budget. It&#8217;s the first time that brand of &#8220;wokeness&#8221; has been used in a fiscal budget report. But it&#8217;s not the Democrats&#8217; first rodeo. They first <a href=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/en\/birthing-people-leftist-cancel-culture-hits-a-new-low-as-some-proponents-hope-it-marks-an-end-to-mother-s-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pulled the stunt<\/a> in advance of Mother&#8217;s Day last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But&#8230; that smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apparently, there are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/types-of-smiles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">10 types of smiles<\/a>. We human beings (&#8220;human being&#8221; is still a thing&#8230; right?) use smiles to show a myriad of emotions. But the Health and Human Services Secretary wasn&#8217;t smiling to evoke joy or be polite. Clearly, he was using it to shame Lankford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Somewhere between the &#8220;lying smile&#8221; and the &#8220;Pan Am smile&#8221;, if you will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 17 second mark \u2013 in response to Lankford&#8217;s request for a definition of &#8220;birthing people&#8221; \u2013 Becerra says, &#8220;If we&#8217;re talking about those who give birth, I think we&#8217;re talking about&#8230; (smiles) I don&#8217;t know how else to explain it to you&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apparently, Beccera thinks treating Lankford like a 5-year old at a Senate Finance Committee hearing is appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And lest you think Beccera was simply at a loss for words, let&#8217;s not forget that the 63-year old lawyer&#8230; well&#8230; knows his way around a minefield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was not <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/en\/xavier-becerra-isn-t-stupid-nor-are-we\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">his<\/a><\/em> first rodeo, either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Side-stepping with deception and deflection takes lots of practice. And to do it with a smile? Well, that&#8217;s a master stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But where the Republican Senator from Oklahoma would be good to assume the mindset of a 5-year old is in the very subject matter, itself. Any child, from the moment he or she (<strong>only<\/strong> &#8220;he&#8221; or &#8220;she&#8221;?&#8230; you don&#8217;t say!) is equipped with common sense, knows not only what &#8220;mother&#8221; means, but knows just how important they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lankford knows. Becerra knows. But only one of those men was being disingenuous in front of his confreres last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What exactly is meant by &#8220;birthing people&#8221;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m gonna have to go back and look at the language, says Becerra. Yeah. Right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ll give the Stanford law grad this; the only part in that video where he was being forthright was when he said &#8220;we&#8217;re trying to be precise in the language that&#8217;s used&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Straight-thinking, God-fearing men and women need to focus on that&#8230; let the words wash over them like an ice-bath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is precisely the game-plan of these Marxist suit-and-tie types. They may cloak and dagger in front of a hearing microphone, but change is what they&#8217;re openly and <em>precisely<\/em> after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Mother&#8221; is hate speech. It does not dignify those who don&#8217;t identify with a particular gender. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Women have penises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men have vaginas. And so do &#8220;birthing people&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do &#8220;birthing people&#8221; have penises? If so, then from where would the child come? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is &#8220;birthing&#8221;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is &#8220;people&#8221; or &#8220;person&#8221;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The confusion is absolutely staggering. Coming to an elementary classroom near you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it&#8217;s not confusion. It&#8217;s insanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the left wants to hold our hand down that path.
