The United Nations gender police are coming for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/ohchr.org\/EN\/Issues\/SexualOrientationGender\/Pages\/GenderTheory.aspx\">call for input<\/a> to a thematic report to be given at the UN, the Independent Expert on sexual orientation and gender identity (the \u201cIE SOGI\u201d) asked for states to specifically name any \u201cactors\u201d who argue against the concept of \u201cgender identity.\u201d More specifically, the current IE SOGI, Victor Madrigal-Borloz, asked,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cHave there been public expressions or statements by political and\/or religious leaders that have led to indefinite extension, modification or suppression of actions, activities, projects, public policies or application of gender frameworks?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cWho are main actors who argue that the defenders of human rights of LGBT individuals are furthering a so-called \u2018gender ideology\u2019? What are their main arguments? Have they been effective in regressing the human rights of LGBT individuals? Have their strategies directly or indirectly also impacted on the human rights of women and girls?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>U.S.-based research institution the Center for Family &amp; Human Rights, which has monitored the UN debate surrounding family since 1997, <a href=\"https:\/\/c-fam.org\/friday_fax\/un-human-rights-office-prepares-global-lgbt-hate-groups-blacklist\/\">has reported<\/a> that the purpose of this call is likely to help the UN create a \u201cBlack List\u201d of politicians, governments, religious leaders, NGOs, and others who oppose gender ideology and instead promote life and the natural family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such an interpretation seems plausible, unfortunately. Since his appointment as IE SOGI in 2017, Borloz has waged war against any international actors who promote the radical concept that biological sex is important or who dare to question the main tenets of \u201cgender theory.\u201d In a <a href=\"https:\/\/undocs.org\/A\/74\/181\">2019 report<\/a> to the UN General Assembly, Borloz warned: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cIn its most ample conception, social inclusion requires urgent measures to <em>dismantle the systems of repression<\/em> that enforce the idea that diversity in sexual orientation and gender identity is somehow harmful to society\u201d [emphasis added]. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He has also called for an all-out <a href=\"https:\/\/ohchr.org\/EN\/Issues\/SexualOrientationGender\/Pages\/ReportOnConversiontherapy.aspx\">international ban<\/a> on so-called &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/en\/in-victoria-a-law-against-freedom\/\">conversion therapy<\/a>&#8220;\u2014meaning that people who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction or sexual confusion won\u2019t be able to find help aligning their mental state with their biological reality <em>even if that\u2019s what they want<\/em>. The UN has made crystal clear that its agenda is to shut down all political, religious, and other leaders who oppose its message of gender fluidity, and <a href=\"https:\/\/ohchr.org\/EN\/Issues\/SexualOrientationGender\/Pages\/GenderTheory.aspx\">to advocate for<\/a> \u201cthe validity of a wide range of sexual orientations and gender identities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concept of such a \u201cBlack List\u201d should not be taken lightly, either. The most infamous such list, the Southern Poverty Law Center\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/splcenter.org\/hate-map\">\u201chate map,\u201d<\/a> classifies groups like the IOF project <em>World Congress of Families<\/em> (which advocates globally for the natural family) with the likes of the KKK, the Black Panthers, and the Nation of Islam. Such lists are smear campaigns more than anything, a blatant attempt to crush the pro-family right, not by argument but by forced and false association.
