The majority of abortions took place among women aged 20 to 29 (nearly 7,000 voluntary) and over 30 (nearly 9,000). Sofia recorded the highest total with 3,072 abortions, followed by Plovdiv with 2,192. Other cities with significant numbers included Stara Zagora (1,204), Burgas (1,172), Pleven (1,110), and Varna (1,046). The lowest figures were reported in Vidin (43) and Razgrad (73).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
