While a trial court initially ruled in her favor\u2014recognizing her religious motivation\u2014an appeals court later reversed that decision. The California Supreme Court declined to hear the case earlier this year, prompting Miller to appeal to the nation\u2019s highest court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
