Pro Vita & Famiglia, a respected pro-life and pro-family association in Italy, recently found itself under verbal and physical assault, after the leader of Italy’s LGBT Pride demonstration, Mario Colamarino, publicly maligned the organization. The confrontation took place on Saturday, June 10, when the Pride parade made its way past the organization’s Rome office. As reported by the association\u2019s president, Jacopo Coghe, participants hurled insults and engaged in disquieting acts of “verbal violence” against the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coghe ascribes the unsavory incident, and subsequent attack on their office on Monday, June 12, to the aggressive rhetoric and instigatory language used by the leader of the LGBT lobby in Italy. This, he says, has fostered “a climate of hate” and violence, aimed squarely at those who uphold traditional values and champion life and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the aftermath of the attack, the association’s office bore the brunt of this hatred. Its security gate was defaced with aggressive messages such as “abortion on demand,” “fascists should be hanged,” and “transfeminist revenge.” Splatters of eggs hurled against the entrance served as further evidence of the vicious assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coghe took to Twitter to express his dismay, calling out the “#LGBTQIA intolerance” that, according to him, thrives on insult, denigration, threats, and attempts to suppress diverse viewpoints. Despite this blatant display of animosity, the pro-life leader affirmed the unwavering resolve of his organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
