As per an internal company email revealed by the Daily Wire, Nike UNITED PRIDE has coordinated a Pride campaign titled “Together We Are Undeniable”. This campaign aims to acknowledge and celebrate “the past, present, and future of our global LGBTQIA+ community,” as stated in the email. The email also highlights the ongoing struggle of the LGBTQIA+ community for equality, and the determination to continue this progress, despite recent adversities faced by the community and their allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the summer, Nike will be hosting several events. These include a discussion with Blair Peters, a surgeon who has previously vocalized about performing multiple double mastectomies on adolescent females in a day. Furthermore, the company is planning a “family-friendly” drag queen story hour as part of their inaugural “Pride Community Fair.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company is committed to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community beyond these events, planning a $600,000 donation to six organizations advancing the cause. Among the beneficiaries is the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN), a group known for promoting gender ideology in classrooms. GLSEN supports the rights of transgender and nonbinary students to express and discuss their gender identity openly, as outlined in their “Model Local Education Agency Policy on Transgender and Nonbinary Students.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative follows a recent controversy involving Nike’s partnership with TikToker Dylan Mulvaney. The company faced criticism and protests, including a “burn bra challenge” on TikTok, when they used Mulvaney, a biological male, to market sports bras to women.
