The Anglican Church of England is being disintegrated by “queer theology.” Traditional Christian teachings on sexuality and gender are being challenged, plunging the entire church into crisis, the Christian Post reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queer theology<\/a> is a new and progressive approach to Biblical interpretation that seeks to explore and affirm the experiences of LGBTQ+ persons in the context of the Christian faith. It challenges the notion that homosexuality is a sin and asserts that God’s love extends to all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allowing same-sex blessings is seen by Christians\u2013including Anglicans\u2013as a capitulation to queer ideology that contradicts Christian orthodoxy. The fear is that this acceptance will lead to the blessing of same-sex unions and the revision of liturgical language and references to God to reflect the new queer standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This internal strife within the Church of England goes beyond its walls and shakes the foundations of the British Commonwealth and monarchy. Since the time of Henry VIII, the monarchy has been seen as the defender of the Christian faith and the state as the supporter of the Christian religion as expressed in Anglicanism. If the Church of England embraces queer ideology, it could threaten the moral authority of the Commonwealth and the monarchy itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The implications of the Church of England’s capitulation to the blessing of same-sex couples are enormous, because the capitulation invites the further spread of the teachings of a sect whose demands and practices are totally opposed to Christian orthodoxy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Anglican Church adopts the new doctrines, rituals, and ceremonies promoted by queer ideology, especially as the influence of the trans movement continues to grow, England and the Commonwealth countries will find that the agenda goes far beyond the “blessings” that are now being approved. The demands will inevitably move from same-sex blessing to same-sex marriage, then to polygamy, and finally to pedophilia. The practices that Christians have resisted in the past and present will now resurface in new forms as the Church of England continues on its current path and seeks to retain its spiritual leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there is hope. Opposition to queer ideology in core Commonwealth countries is strong, especially in Africa. The Christian faith, in the form of Anglicanism, has long since broken away from the control of English prelates in favor of an entirely indigenous and largely conservative clergy. Millions of Africans have embraced orthodox Christianity and its teachings, including traditional Christian mores regarding sexuality. The Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches has protested in the strongest terms the decision to approve same-sex blessings. African Christians do not want the Western gay liberation agenda imposed on them. They are resisting the Church of England’s message that African Christians are not on the right spiritual path.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
