On Thursday the Kansas State Senate passed a bill that is both seemingly obvious but also groundbreaking. The bill answers a question that is central to the transgender debate raging throughout the world; what is a woman? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Woman’s Bill of Rights passed in a 26-10 vote in the Kansas Senate with only Republican support. The bill, championed by Senator Renee Erickson, defines a woman as someone \u201cwhose biological reproductive system is developed to produce ova,\u201d while \u201cmale\u201d refers to anyone whose reproductive system \u201cis developed to fertilize the ova of a female.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This definition is scientific, concrete, and clearly based in the reality of the differences between the sexes, a difference which is most fundamentally one of a reproductive nature. While this might seem like a law based in common sense, the leftist reaction to the bill is one of anger and shock. Liberal members of the Kansas Senate argued that this bill is “offensive” to both “transgender” and “cis-gender” woman. The irony in this outrage is that the left has been completely helpless in coming up with a definition for a woman that suits their agenda. The best they can come up with is that a woman is “any person who feels<\/em> or identifies <\/em>as a woman”. Clearly this cannot be considered a definition, as it has the term it is trying to define within the definition itself. But radical liberal will stick to this definition, no matter what. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The definition agreed upon by the Kansas State Senate opens the doorway for banning transgender “women” from women’s sports, women’s prison blocks, and other one sex public areas. \u201cThere are legitimate reasons to distinguish between the sexes with respect to prisons, domestic violence shelters, rape crisis centers and other areas where safety and privacy are needed,\u201d Senator Erickson said.
