Almost a decade ago, Chris Beck (56), a veteran of the elite US Navy SEALs, came out as transgender and transitioned to living as a woman. After retiring from the military, he started dressing as a woman in an attempt to \u201cmake his body match his identity\u201d, ABC news wrote in 2013<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, he has now detransitioned to being a man and in an interview with Robby Starbuck<\/a> stated that \u201ceverything that happened to me for the last 10 years destroyed my life. I destroyed my life. I\u2019m not a victim. I did this to myself, but I had help. I take full responsibility. \u2026 I\u2019m trying to correct that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He confessed that he had been offered hormones after only one session with a psychologist, adding that he felt like he was \u201cused\u201d and \u201cgot taken advantage of.\u201d He also explained how the psychologist suggested that they write a book together and become \u201cmillionaires.\u201d (They did end up writing a book, called \u201cWarrior Princess.\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
