The amendment was published in the Royal Gazette on September 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until recently, abortions were prohibited in Thailand without exception, except in cases of rape or risk to the mother&#8217;s health. The legislation was first liberalized with the legalization of abortion up to 12 weeks of pregnancy as recently as February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Women who are considering abortion and are already past 12 weeks are required to have a medical consultation under the amended law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new rule will take effect one month after it is announced, on October 26, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Are you interested in the pro-life and pro-family movement?
