{"id":156579,"date":"2022-08-12T11:48:56","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T15:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/?p=156579"},"modified":"2022-08-12T12:33:57","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T16:33:57","slug":"huge-election-victory-over-rino-republican","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/en\/huge-election-victory-over-rino-republican","title":{"rendered":"Huge Election Victory Over RINO Republican"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A closely allied organization to IOF, the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), delivered a huge electoral victory this week when they were successful in their campaign to defeat Republican US Senate candidate Christina Nolan in Vermont. This was a massive upset of a RINO Republican in a GOP primary. Nolan, an avowed lesbian, promised to introduce legislation to mandate nationwide abortion and impose same-sex marriage on every state in the country, and declared herself a full supporter of the gay agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOM ran a statewide television ad and mobilized grassroots supporters to oppose Nolan. Before NOM got involved, Nolan was considered the prohibitive favorite to win the Republican nomination. After NOM took on Nolan, however, conservative Gerald Malloy ended up winning the primary and will now take on the Democrat nominee, current Congressman Peter Welch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Say NO to Nolan\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nIp2IXRB-9A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/donorbox.org\/no-to-nolan?utm_source=EB220805NA01\"><\/a>Christina Nolan was strongly backed by powerful Washington insiders including Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell, who even headlined a fundraising event for her. But NOM was determined to stop this RINO in Vermont, and send a message to Republicans across the country that they would pay a stiff price for abandoning our values and our beliefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key backdrop for NOM\u2019s engagement in Vermont was pending legislation, HR 8404 \u2013 the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act \u2013 that has already passed the House of Representatives. This bill would force every state in the country to accept same-sex marriage even if doing so violated their state\u2019s constitution or laws. Nolan was a strong supporter of the bill, and the homosexual lobby was looking to use her anticipated GOP primary victory in Vermont to convince current Republican Senators that they could vote to impose gay \u2018marriage\u2019 and still win support from GOP voters at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will take the support of 60 Senators to pass the gay marriage bill, meaning that 10 Republicans will have to join with all 50 Democrats for the bill\u2019s radical backers to prevail. This would normally be a tall order, but already five GOP Senators have announced they may support the legislation, and others are refusing to say. Shockingly, some 47 Republican House members voted for HR 8404, giving hope to the homosexual lobby that they can prevail in the Senate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The defeat of HR 8404 is a top priority for NOM. With the Senate now in its August recess, NOM plans a nationwide mobilization to remind Republican Senators that over 50 million Americans went to the polls in some three dozen states to protect marriage in state constitutions as solely the union of one man and one woman. HR 8404, the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act, is in total conflict with these state constitutional provisions and laws, and disregards the decision of voters.
