She is female, she is young (born in 1970), black, and was born in Jamaica. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campaignlifecoalition.com\/voting-records\/view\/level\/mp\/id\/12371\/name\/leslyn-lewis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">However, she has one characteristic that goes against her: she is pro-life<\/a>. Lewis is running for the second time (the first being in 2020) for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC), along with five other party colleagues. On her own website, <a href=\"https:\/\/leslynlewis.ca\/blog\/enough-discrimination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in a lengthy post entitled <em>Enough Discrimination<\/em><\/a>, Lewis analyzes, among other, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/department-national-defence\/corporate\/reports-publications\/mnd-advisory-panel-systemic-racism-discrimination-final-report-jan-2022\/part-iii-areas-of-opportunity-recommendations.html#toc5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">report from the Department of National Defense (DND) advisory group on racism and discrimination, dating back to January<\/a>, which advises not considering &#8220;the employment, as spiritual leaders or multi-religious representatives, of those chaplaincy candidates affiliated with religious groups whose values are not aligned with those of the Defense team.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-quali-siano-tali-valori-facilmente-intuibile-quando-nel-rapporto-si-legge-che-al-momento-alcuni-cappellani-rappresentano-o-sono-affiliati-a-religioni-organizzate-le-cui-convinzioni-non-corrispondono-a-quelle-di-un-luogo-di-lavoro-diversificato-e-inclusivo-alcune-delle-religioni-cui-sono-affiliati-questi-cappellani-non-aderiscono-a-un-atteggiamento-aperto-e-alla-promozione-della-diversit-come-a-dire-continua-la-lewis-che-i-seguaci-del-cristianesimo-dell-islam-e-dell-ebraismo-dovrebbero-essere-squalificati-dal-prestare-servizio-come-cappellani-nell-esercito\">What those values are is easily guessed when the report states that &#8220;[&#8230;] currently, some chaplains represent or are affiliated with organized religions whose beliefs do not match those of a diverse and inclusive workplace.
