{"id":143820,"date":"2022-05-19T05:49:31","date_gmt":"2022-05-19T09:49:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/?p=143820"},"modified":"2022-05-19T06:05:31","modified_gmt":"2022-05-19T10:05:31","slug":"pedophile-lobby-censors-academy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/en\/pedophile-lobby-censors-academy","title":{"rendered":"Outrageous: pedophile lobby censors academic journal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A peer-reviewed study on a secret pro-pedophilia organization and its connection to academia was removed the day after it was published in the British Journal of Philosophy, Sociology and History (BJPSH). The organization is registered as a child protection charity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naude.eu\/uploads\/4\/9\/1\/1\/49115999\/social_linguistic_analysis.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">analysis<\/a>, written by Alaric Naude, professor of English at Suwon Science College and author of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/books\/the-babylon-cypher-why-everything-is-language-and-language-is-everything\/9798734968444\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Babylon Cypher<\/a>,<\/em>  features an organization known as <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/the-bizarre-world-of-tax-exempt-pedophiles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prostasia<\/a>, registered in the State of California as a child protection charity. Prostasia says it takes an alternative approach to combating child sexual abuse. Naude&#8217;s analysis of Prostasia illustrates how the organization uses semantics to promote a pro-pedophilia message hidden behind &#8220;child safety.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BJPSH, confirming that it was contacted by Prostasia representatives who requested the removal of the analysis stating that &#8220;the paper defamed the organization,&#8221; states, &#8220;We received an e-mail saying that some of the claims are not true; the newspaper&#8217;s policy is to avoid such problems.&#8221; Nothing, however, specifies which statements are deemed defamatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-academia-and-deviance\"><strong>Academia and deviance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, Prostasia focuses on a very specific group of academics who consider pedophilia to be just another &#8220;sexual interest&#8221; among many others and therefore support perspectives close to the legalization of pedophilia. For example, clinical psychologist James Cantor, a consultant to Prostasia, supports the legalization of pedophilia as a civil right and believes that pedophilia should also be covered by the acronym LGBT+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Speaking as a homosexual man, they believe we should also include the P for pedophile. Otherwise it means betraying the principles to which we owe our rights,&#8221; Cantor says. &#8220;Sexual minorities,&#8221; the psychologist argues, are granted &#8220;civil rights,&#8221; so legalizing pedophilia as a sexual orientation would grant various legal protections to those who practice it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A published article by Cantor and clinical psychologist Ray Blanchard in the <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s10508-016-0908-y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">National Institute of Health<\/a> argues that pedophiles are born, not made. The fifth edition of the authoritative Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), published in 2013 by the American Psychiatric Association, now claims that pedophilia is a mental disorder, but Blanchard, to whom the DSM owes the criteria used to define paraphilia, has previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=d7qVoYTJL80\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sought to change the parameters here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-some-claim-pornography-is-good-for-children\"><strong>Some claim pornography is good for children&#8230;.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As Naude points out in his study, organizations and academics in favor of pedophilia promote it as a legitimate form of sexuality, trying to progressively soften the impact such deviance has on public opinion, but &#8220;the idea that pedophiles&#8217; rights and children&#8217;s rights are reconcilable is vulgar and absurd,&#8221; Naude says.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prostasia members say that children can assimilate <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/WlPAr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">fetishism<\/a> and perversions, and that <a href=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/it?s=pornografia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pornography<\/a> can have a positive impact on them. Nonetheless, Prostasia teaches pedophiles how to avoid detection in soliciting minors in chat rooms such as those of Roblox, a popular gaming platform for minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then there are always people like <a href=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/en\/controversial-professor-exaggerated-to-claim-that-porn-is-harmful\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Alan McKee, a professor at the University of Sydney<\/a>, who claims that saying that pornography is bad for you is an exaggeration, or the Italian writer and screenwriter <a href=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/it\/la-pornografia-ha-uno-scopo-ricreativo-e-non-fa-male\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elena Stancanelli, who wrote for <em>la Repubblica<\/em><\/a> saying that pornography has a recreational purpose&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prostasia has fought to destigmatize pedophilia for years.
