Many people in the pro-family, pro-life world have long decried\nthe influence of leftist billionaire George Soros. He has spent some $40 billion<\/em>\ntrying to influence politics and public policies all over the globe. His\nnetwork of groups and contacts is vast. Virtually every major leftist politician\nin the world has connections to Soros. They receive money and support from the\ngroups he controls. And in turn, many of them advance ideas that Soros\nprofesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually, Soros\u2019 work is very much behind the scenes,\noperating in the shadows. Such is the case when he is suspected of funding\nvarious migrant caravans to storm the southern border of the United States. Or supporting\nteenage activists to take on gun control or climate change. Or supporting\ngroups that foment racial unrest. Or backing the so-called women\u2019s marches to\ndemand abortion as a supposed \u201chealth care\u201d right. Or encouraging mass refugee migration\nthroughout Europe. Or encouraging demonstrations by anarchists around the\nglobe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shadows is where Soros and his network is most accustomed\nto operating, but occasionally his ideas come out of the shadows for all to\nsee. That was the case most recently when the true purpose of the Soros agenda\nwas revealed in an opinion piece published by Soros\u2019 openDemocrary<\/em> group,\nthe bought-and-paid-for media mouthpiece that he controls. The article was\nheadlined:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe coronavirus\ncrisis shows it\u2019s time to abolish the family.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wow\u2026there it is. Soros wants nothing less than the total\ndestruction of the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

George Soros and his network have been working hard for many years to accomplish this. They\u2019ve backed the redefinition of marriage to strip our most important social institution of its basic element, the complementarity of the sexes to bring the two halves of humanity together for the benefit of children born of their union. They\u2019ve done it by advocating for the killing of tens of millions of unborn children through abortion. And the killing of the seriously ill, including the frail elderly, in the name of \u201ccompassionate\u201d assisted suicide. By redefining parenthood such that biological strangers are granted a stronger legal claim to a child than the child\u2019s own mother or father. And so on, and so forth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think about every way that the institution of the family can\nbe undercut \u2013 economically, structurally, governmentally, socially, etc. \u2013 and you\u2019ll\nfind policies and practices at play that have been advanced by the Soros\nnetwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The article in question published by openDemocracy<\/em> wasn\u2019t written by George Soros himself, but in publishing it his media mouthpiece is clearly trying to advance the premise of the article. It\u2019s an extremely troubling piece, and it\u2019s quite sad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whereas the lived experience of humanity since the dawn of\ntime is that being part of a family provides the best opportunity to receive safety,\nsecurity, love, nurturing, companionship and comfort, the piece published by openDemocracy<\/em>\npromotes none of that. Instead, they see the family as a cause of great suffering.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the words of the piece they\u2019ve published, the family is \u201cthe mystification of the couple-form; the romanticisation of kinship; and the sanitization of the fundamentally unsafe space that is private property.\u201d The author decries what she sees as defining elements of the family including, \u201cpatriarchal parenting,\u201d a place where, \u201ceveryone secretly knows the majority of earthly violence goes down,\u201d a place where \u201cqueer and feminized people, especially very old and very young ones, are definitionally not safe there,\u201d a space where \u201ca quarantine is, in effect, an abuser\u2019s dream \u2013 a situation that hands near-infinite power to those with the upper hand over a home.\u201d She sees the family as a place that produces vast domestic violence, including child rape and molestation, \u201cqueer bashing,\u201d intimate partner rape, psychological torture, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the view of the piece written for openDemocracy<\/em>, even when a family \u201cdoes not produce direct physical or mental threat to one\u2019s person\u2026the private family qua mode of social reproduction still, frankly, sucks. It genders, nationalizes and races us. It norms us for productive work. It makes us believe we are \u2018individuals.\u2019\u2026 It blackmails us into mistaking the only sources of love and care we have<\/em> for the extent of what is possible. We deserve better than the family. And the time of corona is an excellent time to practice abolishing it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This \u2013 the destruction of the family \u2013 is the very purpose\nof the George Soros network. They want to replace the family with the state,\nwhich in their view knows no borders, has no national identity, no limits. The individual\nis essential only to the extent he or she contributes to the collective. The\nelites know best. We need only comply, for our own good and the good of\nsociety. It is truly ironic that Soros\u2019 main central organization is named, \u201cOpen\nSociety Foundations.\u201d There\u2019s nothing open about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is so rare when we get a true glimpse of the twisted\nthinking of those like George Soros who hate the family and decry \u201cfamily\nvalues.\u201d As difficult as it is, we need to truly contemplate the ugliness and depravity\nof this viewpoint, and consider the consequences of going down the path of the\ndestruction of the family. The \u201ctime of the corona\u201d is indeed an excellent time\nto consider the family \u2013 not to abolish it, as Soros\u2019 acolytes propose to do, but\nrather to protect and promote it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
