Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent visit to an abortion clinic in Arizona as part of her ‘Fight for Reproductive Freedoms’ tour, has stirred significant controversy. Harris, the first woman to hold this office, accused pro-life laws of being a “full-on attack” on women’s rights during her tour. She further called for national legislation that would firmly establish Roe v. Wade’s provisions.

Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Arlington Diocese and Chairperson of the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, expressed distress at Harris’ decision to promote abortion. Burbidge encouraged the Vice President to consider visiting agencies and organizations dedicated to serving life, celebrating every child, and providing support to mothers, fathers, and those in need.
