Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News anchor, has criticized transhumanists at the World Governments Summit (WGS) for their belief that they can create a superior human through technology. According to Carlson, this viewpoint indicates a dangerous lack of self-awareness about the inherent limits of human ability.

During the discussion at the 2024 WGS in Dubai, Carlson outlined his perspective, dividing the world into two categories: those who believe themselves to be God-like and powerful enough to reshape human existence through technology, and those who acknowledge their human limitations. In his view, real wisdom comes from knowing and accepting that one is not omnipotent.

Carlson shared his concerns about the rampant enthusiasm for ‘biohacking’—modifying the human body through technology, arguing that such efforts could result in calamitous outcomes.

Although not explicitly named in Carlson’s speech, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and outspoken transhumanist, appears to embody the attitudes Carlson warns against. Schwab spoke at the WGS prior to Carlson, envisioning a new era of human civilization where technology is harmonized with humanity’s needs and aspirations.

Carlson also mentioned his struggles with U.S. intelligence agencies trying to prevent his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, denouncing domestic surveillance by institutions that should be focused internationally. He vowed to continue his fight for a free society.
