Transsexual woman “inconsolable” after irreversible surgery: “I was manipulated!”

“I decided that I didn’t want to be a woman before I had ever even experienced what being a woman was like – because I was a child.”

Prisha Mosley, now 24, who began gender transition at only 15 years old and underwent a double mastectomy at age 18, has come out of transition and is now speaking out about her struggles, Fox News reports.

“One of the problems I have is the lack of identity,” Mosley explained. “So when I found the trans community, I also found a new identity and was validated, that was the reason I transitioned.”

In the America Reports broadcast, Mosley blamed her mental illness and manipulation by therapists and doctors for her decision to transition at such a young age. She said her parents were also manipulated into supporting the sex change operation.

“I was manipulated not only by my trans peers, but also by my gender specialist, the person who gave me my letter of recommendation for surgery. It was all sold to me as a wonderful thing,” she said. “I decided that I didn’t want to be a woman before I had ever even experienced what being a woman was like – because I was a child.”

“It wasn’t like a medical condition that you had to get treated for that was sad or serious. It was like a fun thing, like you’re trans now and it’s being celebrated and you’re wonderful and you’re a hero and all that. And that’s the kind of attention I was looking for.”

“The whole time I felt like I was in a dreamlike state. I was so mentally uncomfortable and unstable, and that was the time when the trans community really found me,” Mosley said, “But the whole thing just feels like crap to me.”

“I’m heartbroken…. there’s just a lot of sadness.”

Critics, including Mosley, have taken issue with pundits’ criticism of popular doll maker American Girl for its recent book A Smart Girl’s Guide: Body Image, which includes discussions of gender identity. Mosley shared her thoughts on the company’s release.

“It’s incredibly confusing. I almost think it’s predatory. It creates confusion.”

American Girl has defended the book despite the backlash. On the other hand, Fox News reported that parents are outraged over the book “that encourages young girls to explore their gender identity and offers resources that promote transgender ideologies.”
