The promotional video hints at the elements of the upcoming event “Summer of Pride,” with references to “hiking, community, art, lesbians,” and “lesbians making art.” Last year, this event was held in multiple cities, sponsored by the brand itself. The current year’s Summer of Pride is scheduled to take place in Atlanta and Salt Lake City. The Instagram post caption reads, “Nature lets you be who you are, so, for the second year in a row [North Face] is hosting Summer of Pride together with [Pattie Gonia] (they/she) to celebrate you and all the beautiful ways you get outside.”

The post further elaborates that the event is more than just a hiking tour. It includes workshops, panels, and activities catering to all outdoor enthusiasts, embodying the belief that exploration can manifest in a myriad of shapes and forms. Negative feedback that appeared in the thread was addressed by The North Face Trail, an official Instagram account of the brand.
