News has surfaced in recent days that the Biden administration intends to use U.S. taxpayer funds to “inspire and support young climate activists in developing countries,” while acknowledging that young people suffer from “climate-related mental health conditions.” President Joe Biden’s U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has released its climate strategy for 2022-2030, which outlines a $150 billion “comprehensive approach” to build an “equitable world with net zero greenhouse gas emissions.”
Included in this effort is a commitment to support “communication and behavior change campaigns” that “encourage the active participation of young people” in the climate movement. Youth, the agency says, “have emerged in recent years as key players … in demanding government action to address the climate crisis,” prompting USAID to increase funding for “youth-led organizations” working to combat climate change in at least 40 partner countries. USAID’s strategy document specifically calls for recognition of the “growing importance” of young people suffering from “eco-anxiety,” which the American Psychological Association describes as “the chronic fear of environmental cataclysms that results from observing the seemingly irrevocable impact of climate change.”
I’m sorry, but isn’t it horrible to think that the U.S. is spending its citizens’ tax money to invade the world, the poorest in particular, with hundreds more Greta Thunbergs, as the editor of Washington Free Beacon wonders? Now, let’s put these statements and commitments together with those of State Department spokesman John Kirby, who on March 21 reiterated that “LGBTQ+ rights” are a “fundamental part” of U.S. foreign policy. Namely, during the briefing Kirby said that “President Biden has been consistent in upholding his faith, his fundamental faith, in human rights,” reiterating that “the rights of LGBTQ+ people are human rights, and we will never back down, we will not be shy in speaking out for these rights and for individuals to be able to live as they see fit, as they want to live. And this is a central element of our foreign policy and will remain so.”
Well, if promoting the woke doctrines of climate catastrophism and the LGBTI and Transgender ideology are the cultural and financial priorities with which U.S. foreign policy and aid move under the Biden-Harris Administration, then we are facing an unprecedented attempt at global colonization far worse than the troubling Chinese-Russian expansionist policies. We can only hope that there will be a Republican ‘reconquest’ some time soon.
