Spain: Justice opens proceedings for the scandalous Torrevieja carnival

The Spanish Foundation of Christian Lawyers denounced persons in charge of the local carnival for allowing minors in erotic and highly inappropriate underwear to participate in the parade.

The Court of Instruction No. 1 of Torrevieja has ordered the opening of Preliminary Diligences and requested the Prosecutor’s Office to prepare a report on the reported facts.

The judicial decision followed a complaint by the Spanish Foundation of Christian Lawyers which denounced persons in charge of the local carnival for allowing minors in erotic and highly inappropriate underwear to participate in the parade.

The president of Christian Lawyers Polonia Castellanos said, “this is good news because it is about protecting the innocence of children and preventing them from grooming and sexualization with the ultimate goal of decriminalizing other crimes involving minors that are much more serious.

We are thankful for this good news and we hope that finally there will be a conviction against those responsible for this shameful carnival and those who gave an award to the children dressed scantily in erotic underwear,” she added.
