Several Republican congressmen have formally demanded that Netflix explain why its children’s shows feature “demonic transgender content.” The letter, signed by Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and Greg Steube, accuses the streaming giant of promoting radical gender ideology in programming for kids.
They argue that Netflix’s content in some animated series glorifies gender confusion, and that this programming is totally innappropriate for children. The lawmakers call on Netflix to disclose what standards were used to approve the content, what vetting process it employs, and how it ensures parental controls are effective.
The congressmen warned that families and faith communities are alarmed the transgender ideology push, and that children deserve clarity about biological differences. They insisted that Netflix owes a duty to parents to be transparent about content that shapes young minds, rather than imposing ideological messaging behind the scenes.
Netflix has not yet publicly responded to the demand. But this move signals growing pressure from conservative lawmakers to hold entertainment platforms accountable—not just for explicit material, but for the ideology embedded in children’s programming.
