The People’s Party of Canada (PPC) head, Maxime Bernier, has criticized the Canadian federal government’s backing of “Pride Season”. In response to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement promoting inclusivity and LGBT rights, Bernier contended that individuals should not be proud of their sexual orientation or gender identity and disliked the emphasis on Pride Season.

The PPC head remarked on the proliferating visibility of Pride flag across Canada, describing it as an onslaught of “woke propaganda about sex and gender”. Such expressions of Pride Season, according to Bernier, have already been challenged, with “Pride” Flag Walk-Out Days gaining momentum throughout Canada.

Bernier also warned that Pride Season legitimizes radical gender ideology, publicly normalizes inappropriate behavior, and supports the indoctrination and mutilation of children. He called on fellow Canadians who share his views to stand up against this trend. He proudly stated that the PPC is the only Canadian political party opposed to promoting LGBT activism and the radical gender ideology movement amongst families and children.

Bernier’s criticism extended to the Conservatives’ silence on the rising influence of woke culture, contributing to the pervasive LGBT agenda in Canada. His sentiments were supported by renowned Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson, who recently accused Trudeau of supporting the “worst medical scandal ever” for endorsing transgender ideology without banning puberty blockers for children with gender dysphoria.
