Idaho Governor Brad Little recently signed a new law aimed at addressing the state’s abortion trafficking problem. The bill, called Senate Bill 123, is being hailed as a positive step toward protecting the dignity of human life and promoting the values of the pro-life movement, Lomazoma reports.
The governor, a staunch pro-life advocate, signed the bill during a ceremony at the State Capitol surrounded by supporters of the bill. The law criminalizes the purchase, sale and trafficking of fetal remains or organs obtained during an abortion and envisages severe penalties for those found guilty of such activities.
“This law is an important step in the fight against the exploitation of human life and for preservation of the sanctity of every human being, from conception to natural death. We must do everything in our power to protect the dignity of life and ensure that the practice of abortion trafficking is not tolerated in our state,” Little said.
Pro-life groups and pro-lifers have praised the governor’s actions and lauded his commitment to promoting a culture of life and protecting the unborn. They consider the new law a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to defend the dignity of human life and promote pro-life values in Idaho.
