“Gender crimes” at the United Nations: an Orwellian nightmare

Leftist ideology has always been about uprooting norms and traditions. The norms of family, the sanctity of life, of marriage, are all sacrificed at the altar of unrestricted freedom. The insatiable desire to destory anything that dares check the human ego has led to the most perverse attack of all, the attack on gender and basic biological reality. This in turn has led to “transgenderism” as an ideological force, being pressed on children through medical intervention.

The latest manifestation of this ideology, and the slippery nature of leftism, comes out of the United Nations General assembly. Their plan is to define new “gender crimes” into international law.

What are “gender crimes” you might ask? Some examples include “gender apartheid” and “reproductive violence”. If this does not help you understand what a “gender crime” is, I fully agree.

But this should be expected. Language is a tool, and like any tool, it can be used for good or for evil. Leftists choose to use language to further their agenda, which is not based on reality, and their language follows suit. The classic question of “what is a woman?” is followed by the absurd response “Anyone who identifies as one is a woman”.

These “gender crimes” are the same. They allow the left to characterise people who champion life, biological reality, and other conservative values as violent bigots, but at their core these “crimes” are empty of any descriptive content. This is the point. George Orwell prophesized this tactic in 1984 with “doublespeak”, language which seems clear, but is really deceptive and empty. While some countries, like Iraq and Burundi, condemned this language and stood for the naturally ordered definition of gender as male and female, the majority of nations supported this doublespeak.

If this language is codified in international criminal law, champions of life and marriage will be further slandered and attacked. It is the duty of all believers in truth, goodness, and reality to stand against this language, and to always use language to further the truth: there are two immutable genders, abortion is murder, and marriage is the union between men and women.
