ESPN Star Kirk Herbstreit voices opposition to transgender athletes’ participation in women’s sports

ESPN star Kirk Herbstreit took a firm stand in the ongoing debate about transgender athletes participating in women’s sports. When a social media user posed the question, “Do men belong in women’s sports?” Herbstreit succinctly responded, “Of course not.”

In his recent interview on OutKick’s “Don’t @ Me with Dan Dakich,” the commentator stated he was indifferent about the potential backlash to his statement. Herbstreit expressed fatigue with maintaining silence on topics due to fear of potential outrage. He protested the perceived double standard applied to various viewpoints, especially those labeled as traditional or having a religious premise.

Herbstreit declared his apathy about causing offense and suggested that it’s healthy not to be constantly anxious about the threat of cancellation. He acknowledged the need for restraint due to his temper, stating that a triggered temper could lead to regrettable outbursts. Herbstreit reports having faced no repercussions from ESPN.
