Nicholas and Lex Renick, a couple in their late twenties, have welcomed their third child—a son—after renouncing the LGBT lifestyle and embracing Christianity. The birth on February 7, 2026, marks a profound transformation from their 2020 same-sex “marriage” in Las Vegas, where Lex, born female, identified as male under the name Austin and had undergone hormone treatments and a double mastectomy.

Their turning point came in an Indiana hotel room, where Lex prayed and rejected her male identity as a “false idol.” The couple recommitted to living as husband and wife according to God’s design. In a June 2024 interview on “The Michael Knowles Show,” they shared their story with a six-month-old daughter, while Lex was pregnant with their second. Lex, off testosterone for just three months, conceived quickly despite seven years of hormone use, calling the pregnancies “miracles” testifying to God’s mercy.

Lex regrets her mastectomy, which prevents full breastfeeding. On Facebook, she lamented: “Please seek healing before surgery. Because one day you may long to nourish a child with a body that no longer can.” She added: “I live forgiven. I live redeemed… But I also live with the reminder that some decisions leave permanent marks.” Lex’s background includes childhood sexual abuse, pornography addiction, drug use, prostitution, and three suicide attempts by 18. She served as the U.S. Army’s first openly transgender religious affairs specialist.

Nicholas felt pressured to identify as gay in high school theater circles. Now Tennessee-based, the Renicks run Revive Traveling Ministry, sharing their testimony to redirect LGBT individuals toward Christ. Lex has 168,000 Instagram followers. In a 2025 Fox News interview, she urged support for vulnerable youth: “I just wish that I had someone to lovingly come alongside me and say, ‘Hey, it’s OK if you’re a tomboy.’… But now we live in a world where there are no tomboys anymore.”
