"I'm Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and I pledge allegiance to the drag," she tweeted.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has been announced as a guest starring judge on the upcoming 12th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race on VH-1.

The Christian Post, reporting on the Congresswoman’s appearance, noted that she is not the first high-profile Democrat to share the screen with the parading drag queens: “In 2018, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California, was featured in an episode of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.'”

Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about her appearance on the show, saying it was “absolutely, 100% a peak experience.” Linked in the Tweet was a promotional video from VH-1 in which AOC says, “I’m Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and I pledge allegiance to the drag.”

Nor is this the first time AOC has used her rather prominent Twitter presence to advocate for the LGBT agenda. As The Christian Post reports:

Soon after being sworn in, Ocasio-Cortez told her followers that it was a “good moment to support the queer community,” specifically Mermaids, a U.K.-based group that pushes trans-ideology. The group is headed by Susie Green, who gained notoriety for taking her 16-year-old son to Thailand to be castrated.

After Ocasio-Cortez  voiced her support for Mermaids, which encourages the use of puberty blockers and experimental drugs on children suffering gender dysphoria, the group announced on Twitter that they had raised over $275,000 (£213,000), in part due to Ocasio-Cortez’s involvement.

Of course, this “allegiance” to radical LGBT activism is one AOC shares with a majority of Democratic lawmakers, including the whole slate of candidates the party has offered up for the presidential nomination in 2020’s election. Inasmuch as she is seen by many as the face of the future of Democratic politics and policies, however, this latest development should raise concern for anyone who supports traditional norms and values regarding sexuality, marriage, and family.
