Actor Robert Davi has claimed there are many ‘closeted conservatives’ in Hollywood who are too afraid to speak out due to potential backlash. Davi, known for his roles in films like “License to Kill,” “The Goonies,” and “Die Hard,” alleged that the industry tends to shun those expressing conservative views.
Davi told Fox News Digital he’s witnessed a growing hypocrisy in Hollywood, stating that the industry promotes diversity and inclusion, but only for those who align with liberal beliefs. Davi, like many other conservatives in Hollywood, suggested he has faced difficulties promoting his recent film “Bardejov” due to his openly conservative beliefs.
He asserted that blacklisting is indeed a reality for outspoken conservatives in the industry, suggesting the fear of tarnishing their reputation prevents big names in Hollywood from expressing support for Israel or even Donald Trump.
Davi’s recent project, “Bardejov,” tells the true story of Jewish leader Rafuel Lowy, who helped save the Jewish population of Bardejov, Slovakia, from being sent to Auschwitz during World War II. Davi hopes the film might educate viewers about history, even if his peers in Hollywood might not want to promote it.
