{"id":25325,"date":"2020-08-05T09:18:17","date_gmt":"2020-08-05T14:18:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/self-diagnosed-gender-dysphoria-a-new-pandemic\/"},"modified":"2021-02-16T06:25:38","modified_gmt":"2021-02-16T11:25:38","slug":"eine-neuartige-pandemie-selbst-diagnostizierte-geschlechtsdysphorie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/de\/eine-neuartige-pandemie-selbst-diagnostizierte-geschlechtsdysphorie","title":{"rendered":"Eine neuartige Pandemie: Selbstdiagnostizierte Geschlechtsdysphorie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"last-updated\">Last updated on Februar 16th, 2021 at 06:25 a.m.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-red-background-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/en\/petition\/protect-our-girls-make-gender-dysphoria-self-diagnosis-illegal\">SIGN THE PETITION<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A blockbuster new book by a distinguished author has\ndocumented an epidemic of young teenage girls suddenly declaring themselves to\nbe \u201ctransgender.\u201d &nbsp;These teens previously\nexhibited no signs of gender confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Abigail Shrier, the author of the book <em>Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters, <\/em>builds on rigorous independent peer-reviewed and published scientific research by Lisa Littman, MD MPH of Brown University that dubbed the phenomenon \u201crapid onset gender dysphoria.\u201d Dr. Littman and Ms. Shrier found that this situation often follows intense social media immersion and that quite often these girls are part of a friend group where other group members (sometimes <strong><em>all<\/em><\/strong> of them) also suddenly claim to be transgender. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amazon.com\/dp\/B07YL6XK55\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"229\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/ifamnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/shrier.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23754\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>These girls are not transgender at all. Like millions before them, they are lonely, confused and vulnerable girls who are struggling to find their place in the world. Shrier interviewed thousands of people for her book, including countless teenage girls claiming to be transgender. She described the situation thusly: \u201cThese are the same girls that would have been anorexic. They would have been bulimic. They are high anxiety, very precocious girls but they don\u2019t really fit in. They come to high school and they don\u2019t have friends. They don\u2019t have a clique for them. They are so smart and they\u2019re so lonely because they\u2019re on the Internet all the time and they&#8217;re with mom all the time and they don\u2019t fit in at school. This is a way to understand the pain that they are really feeling \u2013 they&#8217;re in pain \u2013 but they decide that their problem is they&#8217;re supposed to be a boy, and the fix is testosterone.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By declaring themselves to be transgender, these girls gain\nimmediate social status, become admired on social media and gain the approval\nof their teachers and other adults who have become \u201ctrans friendly\u201d in today\u2019s PC\nculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As if this new pandemic of transgenderism wasn&#8217;t enough to be concerned about, independent medical experts have confirmed a shocking revelation from Ms. Shrier made in an interview on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Shrier reported that teenage girls are actually able to go into Planned Parenthood and\u2014<strong><em>on the basis of their own self-diagnosis<\/em><\/strong>\u2014sign an informed consent document and walk out that day with a regimen of testosterone to begin their gender \u201ctransition.\u201d \u201cNobody questions it,\u201d Shrier told Rogan. \u201cWe now have informed consent. Which means you walk into Planned Parenthood, you sign a waiver, you decide you have gender dysphoria, you walk out that day with testosterone.\u201d Rogan was shocked to hear this. \u201cPlanned Parenthood is doing this?\u201d he asked. \u201dYeah, one of the biggest distributors,\u201d Shrier replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With no independent medical examination, no prior therapy,\nno mental health evaluation, no physical exam and perhaps not even a required\nmedical history, teenage girls are able to leave Planned Parenthood and other\nclinics with testosterone, a powerful hormone that has the potential to cause\nlife-altering damage to their bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not just gaining immediate access to testosterone treatment that these confused young teens get by self-diagnosing as transgender. Believe it or not, Shrier reports that <strong><em>some physicians will actually surgically remove a girl&#8217;s breasts based on nothing more than her self-diagnosis<\/em><\/strong> that she believes herself to be a boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I can&#8217;t think of any other serious medical condition whereby a patient can diagnose herself and then begin invasive treatment that has the potential to cause permanent bodily and psychological harm. Clearly, what is happening has little to do with medical science and everything to do with LGBT politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The practice of self-diagnosis of gender dysphoria must be\nbanned.
