Die verwendeten menschlichen Stammzellen wurden durch k\u00fcnstliche Reprogrammierung nicht-pluripotenter somatischer Zellen gewonnen; es wurden keine durch Abtreibungen gewonnenen embryonalen Stammzellen verwendet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anschlie\u00dfend wurden die Organiode in eine Gehirnregion neugeborener Ratten gespritzt. Die Forscher berichten in der von Nature ver\u00f6ffentlichten Studie weiter, dass die Organoide sich gut in die Gehirnstrukturen der Ratten integriert haben. Sie haben sich sowohl an die Blutgef\u00e4\u00dfe als auch an die Nervenzellen der Rattengehirne angeschlossen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Studiendaten sollen dabei helfen, bestimmte Zellauspr\u00e4gungen von angeborenen Hirnerkrankungen erkennen zu k\u00f6nnen, die sonst unerkannt bleiben. So wurden neue Erkenntnisse zum Timothy-Syndrom gewonnen, einer seltenen genetischen Krankheit, die physische wie auch neurologische Defekte \u00e4hnlich des Autismus umfasst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Transplantation menschlicher Gehirnzellen in Ratten und M\u00e4use ist ethisch umstritten, auch wenn keine embryonalen Stammzellen verwendet werden.
